Thanks to its activities aimed at the protection of nature and its environs the Adria Hotel ranks among the few green hotels in the Czech Republic. This proves that a hotel providing environmentally friendly services does not necessarily have to be located only in the countryside, but can offer its guests ecological services in the centre of Prague. Behaving in a friendly manner towards the closest environs and the environment in general is second nature to us. We offer our guests the opportunity to participate in these activities aimed at the protection of nature and we are happy that the interest in environmentally friendly services is ever growing. In the same way as we are interested in our guests, their wishes and comfort, we care for our environs and nature. Karel Doubek
Measures, which we take to efficiently use natural resources, include waste minimisation, saving of electricity, water and heating, enlargement of green areas in Prague and caring for the close environs. For example we regularly look after the cleanness of the Petřínka water spring, we paint benches and install bird boxes in the Franciscan Garden and go to work by bike. A responsible attitude to natural resource management is reflected in the entire operation of the Adria Hotel.
The concept for a green and ecological hotel goes hand in hand with a communal responsibility and fair business practice. The Adria Hotel dutifully looks after its guests and at the same time it tries to make this activity beneficial also for the surroundings of the hotel as well as the public. The hotel ensures its activities burden the environment as little as possible and attempts to change other people’s viewpoints on the world.
Our guests are happy if we enable them during their visit to Prague to experience that which is really worthwhile. Starting with exploring the most beautiful Prague sights and ending with traditional Czech sirloin in cream sauce prepared according to the original recipe using ingredients from local suppliers. By using beef from Czech farmers and vegetables grown in a nearby field for the meal and by employing a chef, who could cook it blindfolded, because he learned it from his grandmother, we will provide our guests with the best culinary experience, while at the same time helping local people in their business. This is the communal responsibility as presented by the Adria Hotel.
The fact that our viewpoint is popular not only with the guests, but also other people is demonstrated by several awards, which the Adria Hotel has received:
