Adria Hotel Prague has taken under its wing spring „Petřínka“ located in the middle of the east slope of Petřín hill. Karel Doubek, hotel’s general manager explains; „Being a patron of such a spring means, above all, look after it properly. One of the first opportunity we had was on the 22nd of March on World Water Day that gave us an ideal chance to „unlock“ the spring after a long Winter and prepare it for a Spring season.

So what does such a spring „unlocking“, next to a pleasantly spend spring afternoon, actually involves? It includes large number of different jobs – even brickwork and stonework skills were needed. We had to, for example, clean the surrounding of the spring and its water-gate, fill in missing soil, grass the surrounding, rejointing paving, emend stone and fill with it missing holes and many more other jobs. To simply put, it involved all activities needed to restore the spring and its surrounding after a long winter.

Such activity is just one of many that Adria Hotel Prague does to contribute to its surrounding and the environment. A collective symbol of these activities is EU Ecolabel – The Flower of which has been Adria Hotel Prague holder past two year. „Spend a pleasant afternoon and set off for a nice spring walk up to Petřín hill and visit our spring“, encourage everyone employees of Adria Hotel Prague.  By the spring is a breathtaking view over whole of Prague.
